Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer

If you saw my 'A Brand I Love: Urban Decay' post last week you may know that I recently got the Naked Skin concealer. This is loved by so many beauty bloggers and vloggers, and my sister tried it before me and said it was really good, so I finally gave in.

I can honestly say that I totally undersand the hype now! This concealer gives fantastic coverage without feeling cakey. Infact, it's pretty much weightless. I apply it under my eyes and on any redness I may have and my skin instantly looks brighter. It lasts for ages without creasing, and it works for natural looks as well as night time make up because a little goes a long way. It's so easy to apply with your fingers or with a brush.

I got the lightest shade (of course), and it's a great match for me. The packing is really slick with the metallic writing and feels pretty sturdy so they're is no real worry of it breaking anywhere. I also really like the doe-foot applicator as it makes it easy to apply the product evenly onto your face, and it feels really soft!

The only thing I would warn you about is that you have to be pretty quick when you blend in the concealer as it dries quite quickly. Apart from that, I would higly recommend buying this if your looking for a concealer that gives great coverage without feeling heavy or cakey. It's a great all-year-round product!

If you follow me on twitter or instagram, you may have seen these little lip products quite a lot recently! I am of course talking about the Kylie Lip Kits. This collection was a limited edition for Kylie Jenner's birthday, and my first purchase from Kylie Cosmetics.

I decided to get the mini matte collection because it's basically every shade I've wanted since Kylie Cosmetics first launched, as well as a deep maroon shade that I was hoping she would release eventually. The price of the product itself was £27.87/$36.00 and £11.00/$13.95 delivery, which is expensive, but given that it's from the US, and you get six shades, it's justifiable. I was hit with a custom fee of £13.95, but that can vary.

When the box arrived I was very surprised by how small the liquid lipsticks actually were, the pictures on the website made them look a lot bigger. However, that didn't hold back my excitement. I love every single shade. They are so pigmented and with the creamy formula, just one coat and the product is evenly applied to the lips. The doe foot applicator makes it really easy to apply, and I only really need a lip liner for the two darkest shades; Dolce K and Leo. In terms of longevity, they literally last all day on my lips without cracking or smudging. One love or hate quality about them though is the smell as is very sickly-sweet. Apart from that, they've ticked all the boxes and I'm pleasantly surprised.

If you want to see what every shade looks like on me, keep scrolling for some swatches. Every shade is designed to suit all skin tones, and I have very pale skin so please be aware that these colours look a bit darker on me than average! Each shade is available on the Kylie Cosmetics website, apart from Leo as it was limited edition.

Exposed  - warm mid tone beige // Dolce K - deep beige nude // Koko K - pale pink // Candy K - warm pink nude // Kristen - warm brown berry // Leo - deep maroon

Exposed is a true nude that is perfect for every day or complementing a bold eye look, I was worried it would wash me out but it's not too light at all.The two pink shades - Koko K and Candy K - are the perfect pinks for me, with Koko K being just a but lighter than my natural lip colour. Dolce K really suprised me, it's definitely a very deep beige on me but I like it the more I wear it. With a bold winged eyeliner, it created a really cool 90's look. Kristen is such a pretty colour and one that is quite unique in my opinion. And as for the limited edition Leo, the colour is stunning and will probably be my go to dark lip this Autumn and Winter.

You can really go to town with the amount of make up looks you can wear with this collection of colours. In my opinion, I think it's such a good deal for a great range of colours with really good pigmentation that I would consider repurchasing in full size if they ran out. If only Leo was part of the permanent collection! However, Nyx have some fantastic dupes of the Kylie lip kits that are more affordable and accessible (let me know if you'd like to see a post about them!).

I hope you found this review helpful if you're thinking of purchasing anything from Kylie Cosmetics, let me know if you've tried anything or what you'd like to try.

A Brand I Love: Urban Decay

There are quite a few products from Urban Decay in my make up collection. It's one of my favourite high end brands because every product I've tried is such good quality that is worth paying for. The products I own range from face to eyes, and I thought I would do a little round up of my favourite products from this brand.

Base: Naked Skin Concealer - £17.50

The hype around this product is completely understandable now that I own one myself! It gives really high coverage whilst feeling so lightweight, seriously I can barely feel this on my skin when I wear it.

I have a more in depth review of this highlighter here, but I had to include it in this post too! This highlighter is so soft and easy to blend. Just one swipe of this and you have the most amazing glow, as subtle or dramatic as you want it to be. The pigmentation is fantastic and the packaging is so cool.

Eyes: Naked palettes  - £38.50

I feel like every blogger had at least one Naked palette in their stash, and I happen to have 2 (cool tones) and 3 (rosy tones). You can create such a variety of looks with these palettes and the pigmentation is great. Also, unlike most eye shadow palettes the brush that comes with them is very useful.

Primer Potion - £16.00 for 10ml

How could I not include this? It really does help your eye make up last and a little goes a long way. The packaging is really cool as well.

Are you a fan of Urban Decay? What are some of your favourite make up brands?

Current Beauty Wishlist

Wishlists never seem to stop growing when you're a beauty blogger. However, I've managed to condense my never-ending list into just six items that I've had my eye on recently. There are a couple of fragrances, eyeshadow palettes and lip products!

I've been seeing the new Lacoste fragrances everywhere recently. They have three versions of this in their new campaign - sparkling, elegant and natural. After testing each of them in-store, I'd say the light and fresh scent of the elegant fragrance is my favourite. It has fruity and floral notes of mimosa, jasmine, white flowers and vetiver which make the perfect subtle daytime fragrance. I love the simple and sophisticated bottle as well.

Another fragrance on my wishlist is the perfectly named Wishmaker by Little Mix. Although I'm a huge fan of the girls, I wouldn't buy something unless I really liked it, not just because of the celebrity. Fortunately, I absolutely love the scent of this perfume - it's very fruity and vibrant with notes of fresh fruit, soft floral and vanilla. All in all, this fragrance is meant to represent colour and confidence, I hope to add it to my collection soon!

There are two eye shadow palettes in this wishlist. As we're approaching the transition from summer to autumn, I thought it was the perfect time to look for some warm-toned shades. Morphe is a brand that has become very popular, and their 35O Nature Glow palette looks so gorgeous. From what I've seen, these palettes are great quality and have a mix of shimmery and matte shades so you can really create any look you want.

The second palette is by Max Factor, their Masterpiece Nude Palettes look amazing, afterseeing a blog post on katelavie (one of my favourite bloggers - go check her out!) about them I knew I had to have one. As you can see, the warmer version is my favourite, but the cooler and rosier versions of this palette look stunning as well.

We finish with lip products, and if you haven't heard of the Urban Decay Vice lipsticks then where have you been? Urban Decay have recently relaunched their entire lipstick range and there are over 100 lipsticks to chose from in six formulas. The ones that intrigued me the most are the comfort mattes, the lipstick above is in the shade 'Uptight' - a nude pink.

It was announced last month that Kat Von D would be launching in Debenhams this autumn, which made lots of UK bloggers like me very happy. Her everlasting liquid lipsticks look amazing, I really want the shade 'Lolita'.

What beauty products have you had your eye on recently? Have you tried any of the products mentioned here?

Urban Decay 'Sin' Afterglow Highlighter

This highlighter is one of my favourite products of the year. That's a pretty bold statement but it's honestly that good, and has been loved by several beauty bloggers and youtubers this year.

There are three highlighters in this collection, but I believe 'Sin' has been the most popular. That's hardly suprsing because this champagne-gold colour suits any skin tone. I use it in the usual places - tops of cheekbones, browbone etc - as well as on my eyelids as a shimmery eyeshadow on top of something like a brown eyeshadow. Wherever you apply it, it creates a beautiful shimmer

The pigmentation is so good, very soft and easy to blend. It creates a beautiful glow without looking like a disco ball, haha. This products is said to last on your face for 8 hours, and so far this has proved to be true, because I've recieved compliments throughout the day when I've only applied it in the morning.

This highlighter seems to tick all the boxes, doesn't it? The only thing I would change is the packaging because it would be so handy to have a mirror inside it. But apart from that, I would highly recommend this highlighter for an amazing, long-lasting glow.

What's your favourite highlighter?

Kiko Single Eyeshadow

Usually, I prefer eyeshadow palettes to single eyeshadow because I feel like their so much more convenient with multiple shades all in one place. However, I received this single eyeshadow from Kiko for my birthday in October, and I've only really started using it this summer. I thought I'd share my thoughts on it, as well as how I like to use it.

This eyeshadow 124 is described as a pearly dark dove grey on the website, but when I swatch it it looks very warm, so I'd say it's taupe. The pigmentation is so good. It's quite versatile because just a small amount can create a nice natural look, but you can easily use a heavier application or blend some colour into the crease. Sometimes I like to apply this eyeshaow all over the lid, sometimes in the crease and a touch of powder highlighter in the inner corner of my eye for a super quick eyeshadow look (as you can see in the picture below).

The packaging ensures you that the products will be secure and as it's only a single eyeshadow you can easily fit it in your make-up bag or handbag.

Kiko is known for being such an affordable but high quality brand, and this eyeshadow is only £2.90! Therefore, as much as I love eyeshadow palettes, I'm very happy to have this product in my make up collection.

Have you ever tried anything from Kiko?

The Body Shop 'Fijian Water Lotus'

There are certain things that can capture memories of summer - a holiday destination, food, photos or even perfume. This year, the Fijian Water Lotus Eau De Toilette from The Body Shop has been my go-to summer fragrance.

The scent is described as marine, floral fragrance. It's so lovely. It's sweet but in a fresh way rather than sickly sweet so it's nice and light. It makes me think of water when it sparkles in the sun, or a refreshing swim in a the pool on holiday. I'm not very fussy with fragrance, if I like it I'll buy it, but I was certainly drawn to the fresh, sparkling, watery scent this year!

If you want to layer up the scent and make it last longer, there is a shower gel and body lotion available that are just as refreshing. There is also a 100ml bottle, whereas I got 50ml which is still a good size. And lastly, how cute is the bottle? The design is perfect for your dressing table, and the lovely turqoise colour just screams summer.

I'm so obsessed with this scent, and for just £18 it's a really affordable summer fragrance. If this scent isn't appealing to you, there are five more so there's bound to be one for you. Whether you prefer a warm, sweet, or musky perfume, I would highly recommend checking out The Body Shop!

Do you have a particular fragrance this summer? Have you ever tried any from The Body Shop?
