Updated Skincare

A little while ago I updated my skincare routine. I was getting bored of using the same products, so after doing a bit of research (which mainly consisted of YouTube) I paid a visit to Boots. Now that I've tried and tested these products for a few weeks, I've put together a little review.

Garnier Micellar Water - £4.19
I'd been using make-up wipes for ages, and I know they're not the best for your skin. Now that I have this, I'm never going back (unless I'm feeling lazy or extremely tired). This water is very gentle and easily removes make up. Also, my skin feels cleansed and refreshed after using it, instead of the oiliness that wipes leave behind. I use oval cotton pads because the remove more make up and save money!

Nutrogena Visibly Clear Daily Scrub - £4.69
As this a daily scrub, I've been using it in the mornings and I'm very impressed. It's exfoliating but doesn't feel too harsh on my skin. After using it, my skin feels smooth, clean and refreshed. Lastly, the fruity pink grapefruit scent is lovely in the morning!

Simple Moisturising Facial Wash - £3.49
I use this wash at night. Just as it says on the tube, it's cleansing and moisturising. As it's from Simple, this wash is very gentle and easy to use.

Simple Soothing Eye Balm - £3.99
This takes no time at all and makes a significant different. It's so soothing and refreshing, which feels cool and awakening on my skin. I hate the feeling of heavy eyes so I've found this little tube very handy. You only need a tiny amount, so this little tube goes a long way.

Good Things Moisturiser - £7.99
I use this after the eye cream and similarly, a little goes a long way. The result from this moisturiser is incredible: my skin feels so smooth. Being a mattifying formula, there's no greasy feeling left behind unlike some moisturisers and it sinks into your skin fairly quickly. Usually, I'm not keen on the smell of blackcurrant, but I like this!

That concludes my skincare routine! I hope you found this helpful in some way, the great thing is that all of these products are easily accessible and affordable. What skincare products do you use?

Topshop Wishlist

A little while ago I was in Topshop and a few things caught my eye. What better way for me to share them with you than a wishlist (although a haul would be just as fun!). Here are some fashion and beauty picks that are perfect for summer.

I'm obsessed with printed trousers at the moment; there's so many different prints out there. This paisley print would look amazing with a basic top of pretty much any colour.

I absolutely love this playsuit, it's ideal for summer. The colour is a beautiful red and the detail in the middle makes this playsuit perfect of a festival or any summer occasion.

I'm in need of a new pair of brown sandals for the summer, so these beauties have a very comfortable place on this wishlist. They also have a bit of a heel to give me a bit of height!

Lastly, Toshop Beauty are celebrating their fifth birthday this year, with limited edition versions of their best selling products over the last five years. Just look at the rose gold packaging, it's so pretty! For this wishlist I picked out the lipstick 'Rio Rio' and the nail polish 'Green Room'; both of which are super bright and perect for summer.

Have you bought anything nice from Topshop recently? What's on your wishlist?

Favourite Instagram Accounts

I love Instagram. There's something so satisfying about scrolling through beautiful pictures and sharing your own. My feed pretty much consists of travel, beauty and celebrities. I love pages that make me feel happy and positive; here are some of my favourites...

Becca Rose - Becca, who some of you may know of through Youtube, has the one of the most picturesque Instagram accounts. It's pretty and feminine with the most beautiful shots of London from time to time.

Mimi Ikonn - Mimi's feed is full of style, travel and positivity just like her amazing youtube channel. She's always travelling so there's lovely pictures of beautiful destinations. Also, every photo has a quote for an extra addition of positivity.

Paris In Four Months - This account has the prettiest pictures of Paris all year round. Every time a I see a picture, I wish I could be in Paris!

The Daily Positive - Motivating quotes and beautiful photography.

The Happy Page - An adorable account that's guaranteed to put a smile on your face. It simply lists things that make people happy with cute little cartoon to match.

City Of New York - The clue's in the title: this account is all about NYC with stunning shots of the city skyline and life on the streets.

London - Can you guess what this page is about? Haha. The final account I'm going to mention has amazing pictures taken all over the city of London.
What are your favourite Instagram accounts?

Good Luck

Exam season is here and over the next few weeks I'll be completing my GCSE's. Whatever exams you're sitting; I wish you the best of luck and I hope you get the results you're hoping for!

I hope you enter the room in a positive frame of mind, and remember that all you can do is your best. Focus on what results you'd like to achieve instead of comparing yourself to other people. It's all about reaching your personal goal.

Motivation is key. Find something to motivate you that will inspire you to do the best job you can
and aim high. It could be that long summer holiday - a chance to unwind and have fun. It could be a person that motivates you; family, friends, famous people. Anybody that you look up to. I also find that listening to happy, uplifting music before my exam makes feel inspired and positive.

Get enough sleep, eat well, stay hydrated. Keep revising, but not too much because overloading is not good for you. Take regular breaks and give yourself time to relax because it can be a very stressful time for many young people.
 Good luck!
