♥ Thinking Positive - #15 ♥

Hello Everyone,

I hope this last week has treated you well, ready for another one? Let keep it positive..

Now, I know this series of posts is called 'Thinking Positive' and I try my best to be happy most of the time. Everybody should. However, we all have days where we're not feeling our best. We all have bad days from time to time. It's a part of life, the good and the bad.

Bad days can sometimes help us be grateful for the good days. For any bad thing that happens, there are many more good things. Don't worry too much, for whenever you're having a bad day just remember that a better one is right around the corner! As well as the good days to come, there are many that we can remember.

Sometimes you need those bad days, because it truly helps you appreciate the good ones.

♥ Thinking Positive - #14 ♥

Hello Everyone,

Yet another week is nearly over, have you enjoyed it? However, for some of us it's back to school on Tuesday, but we will not let that get us down right? It's all about being happy.

The time we spend comparing ourselves to other people, in looks or personality, and wished we were something different is a waste of time. Everybody has dealt with feeling like they're not good enough and some don't do anything about it. In today's society, it happens a lot and it's a shame.

Everybody is different. What we need to do is be confident. If you're confident and believe in yourself, there is nothing stopping you from achieving your personal best. Don't worry what other people think, as it's your life and your decisions that make a difference to you. Try not to compare yourself to others as everybody has their own insecurities.

The key is that you must accept everything that you are and aren't and if you don't like it, change it because you're the only one that can! Make yourself as happy as possible, that's the way it should be.

Be confident.

Maybelline Colour Sensational Lip Gloss

Hello,

I am here with another product to share with you! After hearing some of my favourite youtubers/bloggers (Hello October, ViviannaDoesMakeup, I Covet Thee) talk about these glosses, I wanted to try one out for myself! So recently I purchased one of the Maybelline Colour Sensational lip glosses (£6.19), here is what I think of it...

I purchased the colour 'Glorious Grapefruit' which is a beautiful bright pink with a touch of red, ideal for Spring and Summer. It also has a tiny hint of shimmer to it too, which I like. The formula is lovely, leaving your lips looking and feeling good. They go on feeling quite creamy and light but the colour shows up very well. A lot of lip glosses can be very gloopy and sticky which put people of them (having your hair sticking to your lips is not a good look), but with this gloss it is certainly not the case. Along with all that good news, there is also delicious, sweet, fruity scent.

Overall, this is a winner for me. Gorgeous colour, lovely formula, non-sticky and yummy smell, what's not to like? If your usually not a lip gloss lover, but want to try some out, these are the perfect solution. There are several other colours available to suit anybody. The price isn't too bad either! I hope to try more from this range soon, but for now I'm very impressed with the one I have!

Have you heard of or tried any of this range? What do you think of them?

♥ Barry M Nail Paints - Aquarium Collection ♥

Hello Everyone,

Being a huge fan on Barry M's nail paints, I was super excited when they released their Aquarium Collection. The collection consists of six nail polishes inspired by the beauty and magic of the oceans. There are four shimmery, two-toned nail paints, and two other polishes with large glitter particles.

I love the idea of this range, so recently I picked up a couple of my own...

First up we have Mediterranean. This is a beautiful shimmery pink, which turns orange/gold golden when you look at it from a different angle. The shimmer is super pretty, especially in the sunlight, it glistens! The formula is also great, in two coats you're ready to go. I think the mix of two colours is amazing. This is a winner for me!

The second nail polish is called Pacific. It is a beautiful blue with a hint of green too, just like the ocean! This is absolutely beautiful. Just like Mediterranean, it glistens in the sunlight for the ultimate sea effect. If your not a fan of pink, then this is good for you!

I'm so impressed with this collection so far. They are ideal for summer, especially if you're going on holiday! It stays on really well too, especially with a top coat which also makes it even more shimmery! However, it is slightly hard to remove. But apart from that they are lovely, I might get the rest of the range! We'll see...

Have you tried the Aquarium Collection, or any other Barry M nail paints? What are your favourites?

♥ Thinking Positive - #13 ♥

Hello everyone,

Have you enjoyed your week? I've had a great week off school, seeing friends, hanging out with my family, and just relaxing at home. I'm ready for another week, what about you? Let's start it with positivity!

This picture is so cute. Over this last week I've spent lots of time with my friends and family, and it's been fun! One of the best things in life is making other people happy, it can make you feel so much better knowing that you're making people smile. Happiness can spread very quickly and it's a wonderful thing. We shouldn't spend most of our time being sad, as there are so many parts of life we can enjoy. Meeting new people and having good people around you is a brilliant thing, and making them happy can be very rewarding. Try and be so happy that other people notice that energy coming from you, and they are happy to. Of course, there are times for sadness, but there's a whole lot to feel good about too. Whether it's helping them out, spending time with them, talking, or just being there for someone can help a lot. Something so simple can be such a great thing.

Be so happy that when others look at you, they become happy too!

♥ Clearing out my wardrobe...♥

Hello everyone,

Now that we are passing through spring, many of us are ready for a good spring clean. Out with the old and in with the new as Spring is all new things growing, feeling new and fresh. So today I took it upon myself to give my wardrobe a good sort out, as I've been meaning to do it for a while, and now is the perfect time.

However, this can involve a lot of effort. If you are thinking about clearing out your wardrobe/closet and finding it hard, here are some tips that you might find useful. These tips are for anyone, whatever your style may be or the amount of clothes you have...

  • Dedicate a good amount of time to sorting through your clothes. It makes the job a whole lot easier to get it done in a certain amount of time e.g an afternoon, day, weekend. Otherwise there could be a pile of clothes left lying around for days!
  • Have some fashion inspiration around you e.g. in magazines, on things like We Heart It, Tumblr or Pinterest. I have a folder on my laptop with photos of clothes and outfits that match my style. Things like this keep me inspired, motivated and aware of my style.
  • It's nice to feel happy and confident when trying on clothes. Do your hair and make-up if it helps you feel more confident and have your favourite music playing that makes you feel good!
  • Go through certain items at a time e.g. dresses first, then tops, trousers, skirts etc instead of everything at once.
  • Make two piles, 'yes' if you certainly want to keep it, and 'no' if you're not too sure or definitely don't want it anymore. When you're finished, check through the 'no' pile to make sure you're 100% certain on what you want to throw away.
  • Ask yourself these questions. Have you worn it recently? Does it fit how you want it to? Can I come up with more than one way to wear it? Does it match my style and the rest of my wardrobe?

Those are my tips and tricks for giving your wardrobe a good clean. It can be so much easier to choose an outfit with from a selection of clothes you feel your best in. And, it's a good excuse to go and buy some lovely new things!  I hope these ideas help you in some way. Have a great day, wherever you are!

♥ Current Wishlist ♥

Hello Everyone,

Recently I have seen quite a few items that I'm interested in trying out, so I thought I would share them with you! Yes, this is my current wishlist featuring fashion and beauty bits I've had my eye on recently. Some of these things are quite pricey, and that's why they're in my wishlist (which means I probably won't be getting
them any time soon, but we can always imagine!). So, want to see whats on my wishlist, read more...

First up we have this lovely dress from Oasis. The print is so pretty and I love dresses that can be dressed up or down, like this one. The belt is is a cute accessory too. Also, Taylor Swift was recently spotted wearing this exact dress. Being a huge fan of Taylor from her music to her style, I simply had to add this to my wishlist!

The playsuit from New Look caught my eye recently, it's not something I'd usually go for, but something about it is really nice! I like the tribal print a lot and it looks like an easy piece to wear during the warmer months of the year.

Next on the list is Dandelion blusher from Benefit. Benefit is a very popular brand and this blush is a gorgeous light pink which is ideal for Spring. The packaging looks super cute, too! Staying with the beauty theme, Essie's Watermelon is a beautiful bright pink colour which is great for Summer, and I'd really like to try it! Essie nail polishes are talked about all the time so I'm sure it wouldn't disappoint.

Lastly on my wishlist is a shirt from Zara. I was out the other day and saw this lovely blouse as I was looking around. The chiffon-like material felt so light and the detailing along the neckline is beautiful. Such a pretty piece that could be worn at any time of year, and that I would love to add to my wardrobe!

So that is my current wishlist complete, do you like any of these items? What's on your wishlist at the moment?

♥ Revlon Colorburst Lacquer Balms ♥

Hello Everyone!

Today I bring to you a review. Not too long ago I purchased a Revlon Colorburst Lacquer balm as they have gained a lot of attention in the YouTube/blogging beauty world!

The colour I purchased was 'Demure', a lovely, light peachy-pink with a hint of shimmer. It goes on the lips very nicely, feeling smooth and not sticky at all which is brilliant. Another thing which I find good is that this has a minty taste/scent to it. Perhaps that's the same with the other products from this line, but I like it! I'd say it's quite a natural looking colour, bur the shimmer with it being a lacquer balm gives a lovely finish.

Overall, I think this is a really nice product which I find myself wearing very often. I would like to try more from this range, along with the matte balms. Have you tried any of the lacquer or matte balms? What do you think of them?

♥ Thinking Positive - #12 ♥

Hello Everyone!

The Easter holidays are here, woo! I have two weeks off school, so that means lots of posts are on their way! I promise. I'm sure there will be more fun things happening too, I'm going to Devon for a few days which will be great fun. What are you doing in the Easter holidays? For now, let's start thinking positive...

Today's addition will be short and sweet. In life, we can get caught up and distracted from the amazing little things it has to offer. Of course, there are times for celebrating huge achievements, but it's also important to enjoy the little things to. Whatever made you smile or laugh is so important as enjoying life is what it's all about. Be grateful for anything as simple as being able to wake up in the morning, or having enough to eat. Life is precious so it's essential that we enjoy every moment we can, even the little things. So this week, and every week, I hope you enjoy every single moment you can.
