♥ What is Beautiful? ♥

Hello Everyone,

I hope you're having a wonderful day. This post is different to usual, but I feel as though it's a very important subject that needs to be talked about. It may not be the happiest blog post, but I'm sure people will relate to what is about to be said.

Do you ever feel self-conscious? Like you're constantly comparing yourself to other girls or women because you don't feel good enough? Or you spend a lot of time worrying about how you look, how bad your hair looks, how big you are etc?

Women are brought up with the idea that you have to look a certain way, you have to be certain size to be beautiful. Whether it's through the media or in real life situations, young girls find themselves under a lot of pressure to look 'perfect'. Sometimes going to extreme, maybe dangerous lengths in the process, which is a completely different subject. We live in a world surrounded by models, celebrities etc that add extra pressure as they are seen by the whole world. Girls feeling like they're not good enough happens all over the world and it's not good as it prevents them from being the best they can be. But what some girls don't realise is that the celebrities have all their make-up and hair done etc, and the models have been airbrushed and computerized to look that way. Also, they have bad days too where they're self-conscious. That part of them is hidden.

Girls, you are beautiful. Everybody is different and I always think that life would be boring if we were all the same. If what you're wearing and how you look makes you feel good, happy and confident, go for it! If it doesn't, change that around. It doesn't matter what anyone else thinks, as long as your happy. Don't change just to fit in the rest. Or the next time you find yourself being envious of another girl or celebrity, remember that they are completely different to you and they have bad days and feel self-conscious too. Everyone is beautiful in there own unique, special way, you just have to believe it and do whats best for you. Remember that you are not alone and there are (as cheesy as this sounds) people who love you for who you are inside, as well as outside.

That's all for now, I hope this helps in some way, because you are not alone. Earlier today I was having a conversation about this and I wanted to share it, along with my own opinions. I hope you liked it and feel free to leave a comment saying how you feel.

♥ Thinking Positive - #4 ♥

Hello Everyone!

I would like to start off by saying sorry for no blog posts this week! Sadly we had no internet connection, which is something I can't control, but I still feel bad for not blogging. However, the internet is back, so I'm back, ready for a whole new week. It's crazy to believe we're in the last week of January already!

Sometimes I find that we tend to do something, or not do anything, just because it's easy. No matter how easy it is, will it help you in any way? Life can bring us many challenges of all different shapes and sizes, and it's up to you to find out how to face them.

So, whenever you're about to make a choice, do what is right, not what is easy! For example, that revision or homework may seem extremely difficult, but one's it's done, it's over and more progress was made. It might not have been easy, but it was the right thing to do. Challenge yourself and be proud of the outcome!

Wherever you are, whatever you're doing, have a great week!

♥ My Week on Instagram No.1 ♥

Hello Everyone!

Like a lot people, I am very fond of using Instagram! I think it's a great way to share little moments of your day to others. I often see weekly blog posts featuring their photos on Instagram, so I thought I'd make them, too! This might not happen every week, depending on the amount of photos there are at time. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Do what makes you oh-so happy, true!

Going for a walk, making the most out of the sun!

Love my jumper, so cosy! Purrfect.

This is true!

Love love love The Body Shop. Which one to use first?!

I love these mascaras, and I recently did a blog post on them here!

♥ Maybelline Mascaras - The Rocket vs MegaPlush! ♥

Hello Everyone!

Maybelline are my favourite brand when it comes to finding a great mascara. I think they're really good at making your lashes look 100x better and voluminous. At the moment I have the Volum' Express The Rocket and Volum' Express MegaPlush. I like both of them, and I would like to share my opinion on them with you today. Which one will come out on top?

First up, MegaPlush!

This mascara has lots of very soft, fine bristles and has a flexible wand, which makes it easy to glide across your lashes. It has a velvety finish and I find there is no need for a second coat. Also, it doesn't feel heavy on your lashes. There is a good amount of volume, too. However, due to the type of wand, I find I have to out it on very carefully to avoid clumps. Overall, a lovely product.

 Next, The Rocket!

This mascara surprised me. I'd heard lots of talk about this, but I wasn't to sure about the wand because the bristles looked tiny, like they wouldn't to anything. However, now that I have it and have used it, I love it! The formula makes my lashes look sleek and even. The wand is super easy to use and doesn't create any clumps and you don't really need another coat.

Overall I think both of these products are very good, it's just a matter of preference. Personally, I prefer The Rocket, the formula and the wand work better for me.

Have you tried any of these? What do you prefer? What other mascaras would you recommend?

♥ Thinking Positive ♥

Hello Everyone,

I'm back with another positive post to take you through the next week with, and all the things it holds for us!

A lot us spend a lot of time thinking about what we want to do, instead of actually doing it. No matter how big or small the situation might be, we'll get held back because we'll force ourselves into thinking that we can't do it!

So, when you know there is something you need or want to do, don't spend tons of precious time over thinking and get it done! It will be one weight lifted of your shoulders and you should feel proud of yourself for achieving your goal. Whether it's doing a bit of exercise, revision, making up with a friend, or even writing a blog post. It always seems impossible until it's done!

Have a great week, everyone!

♥ The Body Shop Collection ♥

Hello Everyone!

I hope you're well and having a wonderful week (think positive!). I own quite a few products from The Body Shop, one of my favourite shops. I love the fact that their products do wonders for your skin and smell amazing. The Body Shop also supports protecting the planet, fair trade and are against animal testing which is great! Anyway, onto the products!

I apologise that the lighting isn't as good, these photos were taken at about 4:30 and it gets dark in the evenings in the UK in winter, so I had to use my bedroom lights! It will do for now!

Out all the products The Body Shop sells, the coconut scent is my favourite. I'm not great at describing scents, but I find it very refreshing, tropical and relaxing, like I should be on a beach, not in the pouring rain and freezing weather England has at the moment! I have five coconut products here to show you so keep scrolling.

♥ Mini Coconut Body Butter - Smells lovely and makes my skin so soft without a sticky or greasy finish. A little bit goes a long way! ♥

♥ Coconut Shower Cream - I love it! ♥

♥ Coconut Body Mist - I've had this since the summer and I love it, smells gorgeous and I've still got a lot to use up! ♥

♥ Coconut Hand Cleanse Gel - This is so good! I take this to school and wherever I'm going, it's a must have! ♥

♥ Coconut Lip Butter - Small, useful and moisturising! ♥

I also have...

♥ Mango Lip Butter and Body Butter - Does exactly the same as the coconut ones, but a different scent which is very fresh and fruity. ♥

♥ Satsuma Hand Cleanse Gel - Another hand gel with a juicy scent and works just as well, a little bit at a time goes a long way. ♥

♥ Shea Body Butter -  I purchased this in the summer and I think I can only get one more bit of use out of it! So it's lasted a good long time, I think. Plus, the smell is gorgeous. I have a more in depth review if you're interested. ♥

That concludes my little collection from The Body Shop. Do you own any of these products? What are your own favourites from The Body Shop?

♥ Thinking Positive ♥

Hello Everyone

Today I am starting a new series on my blog. Recently I slightly changed the way I view things and encouraged myself to be a lot more positive. I want to share that with other people and make them happy, too.

Every Sunday, before the week ahead, I will pick out a quote from a selection of my favourites, share it you and write a few lines to motivate and spread positive thoughts! This is just something I'm testing out and hope you like it.

Sometimes the best way to have a good time is to make it good. Now matter how ugly the day may seem, try your best to make it beautiful.

For a lot of people, tomorrow we will be back to school, college or work. Yes it can be boring at times, but why not try making fun?! Talk to your friends, complete that work, have a laugh, try your best in whatever you're doing. You will notice that those negative thoughts you once had don't matter at all compared to all the wonderful things that happened that week! Concentrate on the good, not the bad.

I would like anyone who reads this to remember this quote and find beauty in the ugliest days. Save it if you want to. Make every day a good one!

What are you looking forward to this week? What do you want to achieve?

♥ Make-up Haul ♥

Hello,

Over the past few days I've purchased some new products that I've heard about a lot through YouTube and blogs, and I'm sure you will be familiar with them, too! There will be reviews of these products coming in the near future, after I've tested them out for a while.

♥ Maybelline Volum' Express The Mega Plush mascara ♥ - I picked this up last week after wanting it for a while. Maybelline mascaras often have positive reviews, so I'm looking forward to testing this out!

♥ Maybelline Volum' Express The Rocket mascara ♥  - I wanted to have a couple of  mascaras for a variety, and I've heard lots about this one!  I've already used this once and I like it so far, let's see if it continues to impress me!

♥ Revlon ColorBurst Lip Butters ♥ - I bought these while there was a 3 for 2 offer, and I'm so glad I did,  I'm impressed! The colours, packaging and formulations are great, however the downside is that there isn't that much product compared to the size of the packaging..

♥ Sleek Blush in Rose Gold ♥ I've heard about this brand from my friend and Zoella, who both say that Sleek blushes are really good and very pigmented. I love the colour, so I'm looking forward to wearing this!

That is my little beauty haul complete. Look out for some possible reviews even though there are tons of opinions on these products out there! I'm very pleased to be adding these to my collection.

Do you own any of these products? What do you think of them? Also, what other product would you recommend?

Hello 2014!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Hello everyone and Happy New Year! I hope 2014 is full of good times and happiness for us all. Personally, 2013 was a very interesting year for me and maybe not the best, but now is the time to put that behind me and look forward to a much better year!

What I learnt last year was that somethings can't happen unless you push yourself to achieve them. Then afterwards, you wonder why it took you so long to do it!

Of course, every year people make New Years resolutions but never really achieve them! However this year I am determined to make them happen. If you have made any New Years resolutions, I hope you make them happen too!

What are my New Years resolutions?

  1. To make my blog the best it can be. I was been quite lazy with my blog in 3013 and took several long breaks. However this year I will be posting several times a week with beauty, fashion and lifestyle posts because I really enjoy blogging.
  2. To read more. I used to really enjoy reading but over the past couple of years the computer has taken over! I have new books that are waiting to be picked up this year, so I will make sure I always time to read most nights a week.
  3. To do well at school. At the moment I am in Year 10, so I am studying for my GCSE's. This is a very important time in my life so I really want to make sure I try my best, pay attention and revise in order to get the best results.
  4. To see my friends as much as possible. Friends are very important people to have in your life. Now that I've made a new group of friends, and I'm a lot happier with them, I would like to meet up with them as much as I can and have lots of fun!
So those are my New Years resolutions. What are yours? What do you want to achieve this year?

Wishing you all the best for 2014!
