Be the Best Version of You!

Hello Everyone!

Today I am writing something that is different to my usual posts but I hope you understand and that this helps some people. Please read on...
Do you ever feel like you're hiding yourself away? Do you ever feel like you could be so confident but hold yourself back because you're afraid of what people might think? Or you're scared of being out of your comfort zone? I do.

In real life, I'm a very shy girl. If you're like me, sometimes you feel like people ignore you and find you boring because you don't talk much. You desperately want to show people how much fun you can really be, but something in your mind always stops you. What's the worst that could happen? This may seem silly to some people, but for others it's a big deal. I see other girls who ooze confidence and are so out-going, fun, cool, carefree, talkative etc. and I think "Why can't I be like that?". I could be like that, I just don't let myself.

I have been struggling with this for a very long time and it's come to a point where I can't be living like this anymore. I can continue to live wishing I was confident or I can take a chance and actually do something about it! This sounds so cheesy, but I feel like I'm a bird that's been stuck in a cage and is ready to be set free. I'm going to try and get rid of these negative thoughts in my head and change for the better. Is there anyone who wants to do the same?

So, seeing as Summer is coming to an end and a new school year is about to begin, I am going to branch out of my comfort zone and become the girl I imagine myself to be. If you are in a similar position to me, why don't you try it, too? Nothing happens overnight and it might not be easy at first, but eventually you will be happy and feel proud of yourself. Be confident. Be different. Say yes. Think positive. Express yourself.

And if you're thinking about making new friends, go for it! People will like you, why shouldn't they, you're amazing! They will realise there's more to you than they think. When you're talking to someone, try and think of things to say and ask them, you'll get to know them much better! You never know what the future holds, they could become one of your best friends!

Before I end this post, here are a few tips I have thought of for gaining confidence...
1. There is music for everything! Create a playlist of songs that make you feel good and listen to it whenever you're feeling down, or in the morning when you're getting ready, or on the way to school or wherever you're going. Listen to the lyrics and believe them. Songs like this one...
2. Think positive. If you have negative thoughts in your mind, you won't feel confident or happy and it will show. Think "this year is going to be great!", "I look fine", "I will gain new friends" instead of "I look awful", "No one will like me", "This year's gonna be so boring.". If you think happy thoughts, you will be happy!
3.Sorround yourself with positive people who make you laugh and that you have lots in common with. Cool, confident, out-going, fun people who's confidence might have a good effect on you! And make sure you talk to and see them as much as you can.

That's it for now. Even writing this seemed to help me a bit! If it means somthing to other people too, that's incredible. What did you think of this post? Let me know!
Be Confident. Be Happy. Be Positive. Be the best version of yourself!

Hello Everyone!

So at the weekend I went to a festival called CarFest and I had a great time! There were lots of cars, food, music and fun things to do. It was organised by Chris Evans and there were celebrities there including Alex Jones and Paul Hollywood and Mary Berry from the Great British Bake Off. Did any of you watch The One Show on BBC One on Friday? That was live from CarFest! There was also great music from Keane, Scouting For Girls, Amy MacDonald and Jools Holland, and it was all to raise money for Children In Need. It was also great to see my friends again as we were all busy at different times of the holidays.

Here are a few pictures of the weekend...

Welcome to CarFest!

And a couple of outfits I wore this weekend!

On Friday it was very warm so I chose to wear this very light dress with sandals.

Dress: New Look Sandals: New Look Watch: Next

Then on Saturday it was a bit colder and it rained a bit (but that didn't stop the fun!) so I wore burgundy jeans with a white top, black cardigan and navy converse.

Cardigan: Warehouse Top: New Look Jeans: Jeans Shoes: Converse

So that's it for now, I hope you liked it! I'll probably be going to CarFest next year, too. As I'm writing this it is the last full week of my summer holidays, wow! I have had lots fun but looking forward to a fresh start with a new school year. A few more blog posts will be coming this week!

London Haul!

Hello Everyone!

Yesterday I went to Oxford Street and Covent Garden with my mum, obviously in London! It was very hot and very busy at this time of year, however I had a lovely day as I do like going to London. I think it would be better for me and my mum if we went  sometime in the Autumn! This is what I got...

Starting with clothes, I got this lovely jumper form Oasis. It's navy blue with cream, floral patterned  lace stripes on the front. It's slightly oversized which makes it feel very cosy! I think it's so pretty and I can't to start wearing it in the colder months!
I got three tops from New Look. The first one is an Aztec/tribal print vest top. The bright colours and prints make it very summery and it's very light and loose which is also great for summer!
Also from New Look I found this cream top with floral detail on the front. The front is see-through so you will need something under it however the material at the back is quite thick.  I think it's a very pretty top and something that you could wear all year round.
The third and final piece from New Look is this black top with floral print. I love it and it's very comfortable to wear. I think the fact that it's black and a slightly darker floral print makes it good for Autumn and Winter as the darker colours start to come back in!
We also went to Topshop and it's huge! There's so many lovely things in there, almost to many, ha! All I got was three pairs of frilly socks and they are so cute! I got grey, blue and pink and I don't really know how to style them at the moment but I'm sure I'll find lots of ways soon. Could you help me with what shoes I could wear them with? Next time I go, I'm definitely going an item of clothing or two! Or a bit of make-up...
Moving onto other things, in Superdrug I finally got a Rimmel London Stay Matte Powder in transparent. I've been wanting one for a while now and it's been given a lot of attention in the YouTube beauty world. I tried it on this morning and it looks great, not to cakey which I like.
I also bought the Collection Extreme 24 Hour Felt Tip Liner and it's also very good! It's very easy to create a line to how thick or thin you prefer it to be. I definitely recommend it!
The Body Shop is one of my favourite shops, there are so many things in there I wish I could have and it all smells so good! However I did pick up a Body Mist in Coconut. The beautiful scent lasts on your skin for ages and the bottle is cute, too!
Lastly, I got this adorable little key ring from a little shop in Covent Garden which sells lots of cute, girly, vintage items. And I'm so sorry I've forgotten the name of it but it was lovely.
So that concludes my London Haul! I hope you liked it. Hopefully I can go to London again soon!Over the weekend I will be at CarFest which is a festival literally right next to where I live! So expect some 'Outfit of the Day' posts and maybe a bigger post about the whole thing when it's over.

My Favourite Youtubers!

Hello Everyone!

Today I'd like to show you my favourite beauty/fashion youtubers. I think they are all amazing in their own way. I love their style and their hair and make-up always looks great. Someday soon I hope to start making my own youtube videos. I know I won't be as well known as these girls at first but youtube is a fun thing to do and you never know how it could turn out! These are in no particular order at all and I imagine some of the people reading this know of  them, too!

TrueBeutie is such a good channel! Gemma is the same age as me and is doing so well with her YouTube. I especially like her 'Get Ready With Me Videos'

I love Tanya Burr, and lots of other people do to! She's a make-up artist so her make-up videos are amazing and her style is lovely. She comes accross as very nice and smiley in her videos which is good, too!

Of course, Zoella! Alot of people know who she is! She's just so pretty and fun to watch. I love her style, too! Her blog is also very good.

Nicole was probably one of the first youtubers I ever watched which is why she's one of my favourites. I think she's different to other youtubers out there, in a good way obviously! She's so pretty  and has a nice style.

Bethany, or MacBarbie07, is amazing! She's seems very bubbly and fun! I love the oufits she shows in her videos and her videos are made so well. She also does D.I.Y videos which are really good!

And those are just a few of my favourites! Do you watch their videos? Check out my channel to see more of my subcriptions and look out for some of my own videos in the near future!

There will be no new blog post until Monday 19th August because I'm going on holiday with my Dad. So don't worry, I haven't left my blog!

Make-up: What I Use Everyday!

Hello Everyone!

At the moment I don't have a lot of make-up, but I do have essential pieces that I use every day. My collection of make-up will continue to grow, though! I wear make-up nearly everyday and sometimes I like to swap between different products depending on what I feel like wearing that day.

On my face I use No7 Triple Protection Tinted Moisturiser in Light. I'd describe it as foundation, moisturiser and a little sun cream mixed together, as it has SPF 15 in it. I gives quite light coverage, feels light on your face and is great to use all year round.

Next is the Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer in Fair, the lightest shade. It gives amazing coverage and works under eyes and on any blemishes.

On my cheeks I use a pink blush from Clinique that my mum gave to me. I don't know the name of it but I've been using it for ages it works very well to give a lovely pink glow on your cheeks.

For my eyes, I use a Barry M kohl  pencil in brown, or any brown kohl pencil I have at that time on bottom lash line. Then I smudge the line out with a cotton bud to make the line less harsh.

Most of the time I use Barry M Eyeshadow Pencil in in a metallic, brown colour on my top lash line. It's a lovely colour, it's waterproof and stays on all day! Sometimes I will use a black or brown liquid eyeliner instead of the pencil.

Everytime my mascara runs out I buy a different one from another brand or the same brand, but the mascara I am currently using is the No7 Intense Volume Mascara in brown. I think it's very good and easy to use. Next time I am going to get a Maybelline mascara as I've wanted one for ages and have heard great things about them! Which one do you think I should get?

Finally, on my lips I always use I lip gloss. I do wear lipstick quite a lot but not as much as lip glosses. I have quite a few but the ones I use the most are Hollywood Lipgloss in Walk of Fame by Miss Sporty or High Shine Lip Gloss in Coral Kiss by No7. The colours are lovely, they're not too sticky and stay on for a long time. The lipstick I probably use the most is Frozen Rose by Avon.

So that is it! Have you ever tried any of these products? Let me know what you think! Or are there any recommendations on new things to try out? That would be great!

My Holiday!

Hello Everyone!

As I mentioned in my last post I've been on holiday! Me, my siblings, my mum and a few friends went off to a lovely caravan in Weymouth. The weather was mostly sunny and it was a great holiday!

We did all sorts of fun things like visiting the local towns, going to funfairs, and going to Monkey World and more! However we spent most days at the beach which was lovely. I went for a paddle in the sea, ate ice cream and relaxed... perfect things to do when on holiday.

On one of the days we took a trip to Lulworth Cove. It was a stony beach so a bit uncomfortable for your feet but the water was bright blue and looked absolutely beautiful. From  Lulworth Cove we took a boat ride to see Durdle Door which is an arch made from rock...pretty cool to look at especially on a sunny day.

I have to say it felt so good to have a break from the internet for a week. Sometimes you need to take a break from Twitter and Tumblr and YouTube and Facebook and all the rest to really enjoy time outside in the fresh air and with the people who mean the most to you. Who doesn't love a holiday?

So now I am back at home for a few days then off on another fun-filled holiday with my Dad, my brother and sisters and more of my family next week! There will be a few more posts coming this week.

Bye For Now!
