What I'm Looking Forward Too

Hello again. It's been a while since my last blog post, but now that exams are over I have so much more time to blog! I have big dreams for this blog and I've got quite a few exciting things coming up, so I thought I'd write a post about what I'm looking forward to, at least until the end of the year!

Blogging

I know I already addressed this in my introduction, but I'm looking forward to concentrating on my blog over the second half of the year. My posts will be more frequent and better quality. I also want my content to be natural and personal. There are thousands of bloggers in the industry now, but I truly believe there's a space for everyone. I would love to get involved in the blogging community, too.

Summer

I must confess that I'm not the biggest fan of summer, but I'm going to try and make the most of it this year! My summer is going to be pretty long, so I'm looking forward to days out with my family, good times with my friends, and relaxing in the (hopefully!) nice weather.

Holiday with the girls!

I've made some really good friends over the last couple of years, and to celebrate the end of college a few of my friends & I are going to Tenerife at the end of the summer! I'm not much of a party girl, but I'm looking forward to having a bit of fun and a nice holiday. Plus, I can make the most of the sales that are on right now!

Spending time with people I love

I'm really looking forward to having more of a relaxed approach to the end of the year. I really want to spend time with my family and let them know how much I care. The same goes for my friends, I want to have fun and spend time with good people. Who knows, maybe I could make some friends through blogging by the end of the year!

Figuring out where I want to go

The next chapter of my life is pretty scary because I'm no longer in full time education. However, I'm taking a gap year to figure out what I want to do. I'm aiming to find an apprenticeship, but for now I just want to take my time, blog, clear my mind and work for a year before jumping into something I don't want to do!

Now that I've got things to look forward too, I feel pretty good about the near future. You never know what life my bring, so it's important to take each day as it comes, as well as setting goals and dreams.

What are you looking forward too for the second half of the year?

Spring Wishlist: River Island

River Island has to be my favourite shop this spring. They have so many gorgeous peices that really capture this season's trends - I may have to write a second post! Hut for now, here are some of my favourite picks from River Island...

Firstly, this black burnout floral print duster coat (£55) looks so easy to mix and match thanks to it being black and white. This time of year is perfect or peplum, frills and all the blouses, therefore this White soft peplum t -shirt (£16) is a lovely girly take on a basic white t-shirt - just throw on some skinny jeans like the Blue Amelie ripped super skinny jeans (£42) and your good to go. This White 'vivre' print fitted t-shirt (£16) is also different from a plain white t-shirt, and the slogan translates to 'The joy of living' which is so positive. Going back to blouses, this Black floral frill bib blouse (£26) - is perfect, I could really imagine it with black skinny jeans and black shoes or a darker take on spring.

However, if you want to embrace the light, pastel colours this season, this Pink floral tie cuff blazer (£58) truly captures the colours and prints of spring. Also, how beautiful is this Cream floral print mini skirt (£30)? It could even be worn throughout summer because the floral print is quite bright.

A couple more items in this wishlist include these gorgeous Beige stud block heel sandals (£45). These sandals are so cool and the colour is really versatile. Lastly, no wishlist from me would be complete without a bit of green (#redhead), so these Light green tapered trousers  are perfect for smart/casual days.

What are your favourite trends this spring? Look out for another spring wishlist soon as we slowly transition to the warmer side of the season

.
P.S: After I writing this I can literally picture Miranda Priestley in my head...

Beauty Wishlist

Seeing as it is officially Spring, I thought I would celebrate the new season with a new beauty wishlist. To go with the Spring theme, this wishlist is full of soft colours and more focus on lighter, more natural make up. I hope you enjoy!
The first thing you're drawn to is most likely the gorgeous foreshadow palette in the middle. This is one of the Smashbox Covershot eyeshadow palettes, in collaboration with the stunning Shay Mitchell (Pretty Little Liars star). This palette is called 'Soft Light' and it contains lovely shimmery shades for easy, everyday looks with a hint of shimmer to make the eyes pop.

There are a couple more palettes in this wishlist. L'Oreal Paris have recently released a whole new collection of products for there Infallible range. The one I'm excited about the most is the Infallible Paint Blush Palette. This looks like such a good range of shades and it's rare to find blush palettes in the drugstore. Another palette I have my eye on this the Barry M Illuminating Highlighting Palette, it looks so pretty and the shades are perfect - Iced Pink, Frosty and Gilded Bronze. Cream . The drugstore has some gorgeous highlighter palettes - check out Sleek and Lottie London when you're next in Superdrug! But since I clearly can't get enough highlighter in my life, the Barry M looks like a great palette for a healthy, spring-inspired glow.

Moving onto single products, another new release from L'oreal is their Infallible Lip Paints. This pretty nude pink, in Hollywood Beige is the perfect matte pink for Spring. One other launch I'm very excited about is the new Benefit blusher- Galifornia. This described as a 'sunny warm pink blusher' which sounds amazing for Spring and Summer, and the packaging is amazing as well.

Lastly, we have a drugstore fragrance. I used to use the 'So...' body sprays all the time when I was younger. However, I was instantly drawn to their new fragrances because they look so sophisticated The one in this wishlist is 'Sheer Illusion' - with notes of mandarin & bergamot, rose and jasmine, and a creamy sandalwood base. It just sounds so nice and floral for Spring.

What have you got your eye on at the moment? Is there anything inspired by Spring?

Beauty and The Beast

This is my favourite Disney classic. With catchy music, a lovely story line and iconic characters, it never fails to put me in a good mood! I can't wait to see the live adaptation this month, it looks beautiful!

High School Musical

I grew up with this film series. It may be cheesy but that's what makes it so good! Also, I pretty much know the songs off by heart.

Bridget Jones

These films are the best. They are hilarious and Bridget Jones is such a relatable character. I think the most recent film, Bridget Jones Baby, is my favourite out of the three.

The Devil Wears Prada

I've loved this film for years. It features some of my favourite things - New York and fashion. and it's a brilliant story about following your dreams. I love the cast (Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt...) as well.
